The Highest Call of the Clans of Judah
In Jeremiah 31: 6-7, we read:
For there shall be a day when the watchmen will cry on Mount Ephraim,
Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to the L-rd our G-d.’
”For thus says the L-rd:
"Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations;
"Proclaim; give praise, and say, ‘O L-rd, save Your people, the remnant of Israel!’
750 years before the life of Y’shua on this earth, the prophet Jeremiah wrote this passage. The word used in verse 6 for watchmen is used nowhere else in scripture for this translation. It is the Hebrew word Notzrim. In Modern Hebrew, it is the word used for “Christians.” This is your higher call; to become those Christians who cry out ‘O L-rd, save Your people, the remnant of Israel!’ This is the role that will lead you into the final fulfillment of G-d’s planned salvation for “all Israel,” according to Romans 11:26.
Are a Christian who gives G-d no rest until He establishes, until He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth? Once you are there, G-d will take you to the next and final call for Christians everywhere. Read Zechariah 12 to see the role that these Clans of Judah have in the redemption of Israel.
“The burden of the word of HaShem concerning Israel. Thus says HaShem, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it. In that day, says HaShem, I will smite every horse with terror, and his rider with madness; and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness. And the chieftains of Judah shall say in their heart, "The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength in HaShem of hosts their G-d. In that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and they of Jerusalem shall yet again dwell in their own place, even in Jerusalem. HaShem also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah. In that day shall HaShem defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as G-d, as the angel of HaShem before them.”
“And it shall come to pass in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart; 14all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.”
The redemption of the “inhabitants of Jerusalem” will come about when all the nations of the world gather against the city of Jerusalem. When that happens, there will be a remnant, “the Clans of Judah” who will disregard the voices of their national leaders, of their families and even of their pastors, if need be. They will rise up and take an heroic stand to demonstrate the love of Y’shua to those who are being destroyed by the rest of the world. These brave ones will not be strong in their own might, but in the Power of the L-rd and will show to the Israelites and to the world, the love and the strength of the Messiah Y’shua. That is how these Israelites will “look upon the One they have pierced.” Not with natural eyes at His coming (in Zechariah 14) but when, with Spiritual eyes of faith - just as you and I have seen Him - in the lives of His people. Then, shall “all Israel be saved.”
Amen
